Science is Fun (and Free)!

It's a smart deal for parents and kids alike. Nickelodeon's ParentsConnect Local city guide and the Association of Children's Museums have teamed up to offer children discounts to participating children's museums nationwide through Sunday, Oct. 26 as part of ParentsConnect's "Deals and Steals" program.

Nearly 130 museums have agreed to participate, offering a free children's ticket when an adult purchases a full price ticket.

"We are happy to team up with Nickelodeon's ParentsConnect," said Janet Rice Elman, Executive Director, Association of Children's Museums. "The roots of imagination and learning stem from play. Children's museums' exhibits and environments put learning into the hands of children and make learning empowering, creative and fun."

We are lucky enough to be reasonably close to two children's museums in our immediate area and a bunch more if we are willing to travel more than an hour. Children's museums are also great places to visit when you are on vacation in a new city -- I find they are a wonderful place where kids can just be kids. They can touch and play without getting into trouble! This sounds like a great program that I know we will be taking advantage of!
