New York City's famed The Plaza Hotel, is offering two vacation packages inspired by once of its most famous guests -- Eloise, star of the books by Kay Thompson. Live Like Eloise and Live Like Eloise Slumber Party gives your little girl the chance to experience the magic she's read about.
Published by Simon & Schuster in 1955, Eloise moved into the hotel with pug Weenie, turtle Skipperdee and her "mostly companion," Nanny. She's come quite far since then -- there have been seven books published in total, her portrait has been on display since 1957 and in 1998, the Plaza was named a "literary landmark" for the role it plays in the series.
The Live Like Eloise Package, which starts at $895 per night includes accommodations in a Deluxe Rose Suite with the possibility of an upgrade, a copy of the book, a "Super Duper Sundae" and Eloise postcards with complimentary postage. The Live Like Eloise Package Slumber Party Package starts at $3,595 per night, is for six guests and includes accommodations in a Plaza Suite, a copy of Kay Thompson's Eloise Guide to Life: or How to Eat, Dress, Travel, Behave and Stay Six Forever, "Super Duper Sundaes," Eloise Postcards with complimentary postage and an assortment of Eloise DVD's accompanied by Eloise's favorite movie snacks for sharing.
