Can you be friends with someone who is the opposite of you? That's the basic premise behind Wooby & Peep: A Story of Unlikely Friendship (compare prices) by Cynthea Liu and illustrated by Mary Peterson.
Wooby is quiet and unassuming. Peep is loud and colorful. When the two become neighbors, it doesn't seem like they will ever get along. But as they interact and learn more about one another, a true friendship forms, and the two soon learn that the best things in life often come in the most unexpected ways.
A great book for a preschooler who may be having trouble getting along with others or who is learning to make friends of her own. With easy-to-understand text and cheerful pictures, the story is fun to read, but also teaches an important lesson.
