While I am definitely a fan of winter, I am not sad that we are in the month of March -- especially after the weather we've had lately. Not only does March mean spring is on the way, but one of my favorite activities of the whole year is held in March -- our town's St. Patrick's Day parade! And while we aren't marching this year (boo!) we will definitely be in attendance, cheering on all the bands, dancers, and other Irish revelers.
St. Patrick's Day isn't necessarily a holiday you'd equate with kids, but there's actually a lot you can do to make the day fun for your preschooler. One of my favorite ways is to stage a visit from a leprechaun. Mr. S. was a little too young last year to understand all the silliness, but this time around I expect all of the leprechaun's naughtiness will be right up his alley.
