Lovely Leaves
Fun Preschool Project Using Fall's Natural Beauty

By , About.com Guide

While walking outside with your preschooler, collect a bunch of leaves that are just starting to change colors, preferably those that are still on the trees. (Leaves that have already fallen can fall apart too easily.) Put them in a heavy book overnight.

Once they are nice and flat, use some craft glue to attach them to a piece of cut cardboard. Using a selection of tempura paints, let your preschooler paint the leaves. Help them to make sure they don't get paint on the cardboard. Before the paint dries, holding onto the cardboard, have your preschooler press the wet leaves on to construction paper.
