When is a children's television program not just for kids? When it's the popular-with-both-young-and-old Yo Gabba Gabba! of course. Filled with tons of danceable indie music (rapper Biz Markie is a regular), a plethora of guest stars (think Jack Black, Elijah Wood and Mos Def) and funny, live action segments, Yo Gabba Gabba! is not your mother's (or even your) idea of children's television. If you aren't hip enough to tell the difference between a Brobee and a Muno, no worries, we've got your list of popular characters from Yo Gabba Gabba! right here.
Four-year-old Brobee hails from Fall Tree Land. And like many preschoolers, his emotions run the gamut. When he's happy, he's happy. When he isn't, well, lets just say it's easy to tell. Luckily, when he gets help from DJ Lance and the rest of the Yo Gabba Gabba! gang, he feels better very quickly and is once more smiling.
Brobee, who is also known as "little green one," is voiced by Erin and Tara Pearce.
DJ Lance Rock
The ringleader of the Yo Gabba Gabba! crew, DJ Lance Rock is arguably the coolest, happiest guy on television, children's or otherwise. With a booming "Yo Gabba Gabba!" he brings his friends to life. Together, they have adventures and learn important life lessons, often demonstrated through songs and dances. With his bright orange getup and never-far-away boom box, DJ Lance is a fun character that kids definitely relate to.
DJ Lance Rock is played by Lance Robertson.
Foofa comes to us from Spring Flower Land. Pretty in pink, she is girly-girl to the core wholeheartedly embracing anything that is cute and cuddly and beautiful. Like most preschoolers though, she can get cranky sometimes if things don't go quite the way she wants them to. Luckily, her naturally happy personality always shines through in the end.
Sweet Foofa, who is a pink flower bubble, is voiced by Cortney Cook.
He's big, he's red, he's got one eye, he's Muno and he's a red cyclops! Even if you don't see Muno coming (how could you not), he's easily identifiable by his high-pitched voice. A resident of Summer Volcano Land, Muno can be clumsy -- hey, when you are that tall, it's hard to keep control of your body! For the most part, Muno is a laid-back type of cyclops, although he can sometimes be impatient.
Muno is voiced by Josh Bally and David Crespin.
Plex is a magic robot and is often the character in Yo Gabba Gabba! who provides a lot of guidance and makes a lot of sense. When a guest wants to come to Gabbaland, Plex is how they get there, as he is the one who beams them in. Plex is also the go-to guy for listening to music and watching videos.
Plex is voiced by Lindsay Kraus and Amos Watene.
Toodee is a blue-cat dragon who's one fault is that she can sometimes be a little bit selfish. Otherwise, she's super smart and and a free thinker who is always enthusiastic. She's a great teacher and she hosts "Sounds with Toodee," a part of Yo Gabba Gabba! where she asks the viewers to guess what is making a certain sound.
Toodee is voiced by Melissa Rossiter and Charme Morales.
