Your little one is sitting at the kitchen table, happily coloring, when she calls you over excitedly. "Look!" she cries, "I made a an 'X'!" And sure enough, among her scribblings there is a crooked letter, something recognizable. It might not be perfect, but it's real for sure. And most importantly, she realizes what the letter is.
Your best bet? Encourage her. Make a fuss, hang the creation on the fridge and show all the relatives. If she sees how proud you are, she'll be proud of herself, and more likely to keep up the good work.
