Child's age and number of years in preschool
This was her first year in preschool after going to a 3-year-old program 2 days a week last year. She just turned 4.
How did it go?
She cried...when I brought her home. She didn't want to leave.
The first 3 days were chaotic for us, though since they did a transitional schedule - one hour first day, one hour the second day, 3 hours the third day.
On the first full day she brought lunch and snacks in her back pack...along with her favorite bunny. She loves that back pack.
It is still warm in our part of the country so she wore a simple denim skirt new floral shirt and her summer sandals.
We went out for a special lunch after the first day -- pizza and Italian ices.
Advice
- I was so busy preparing my daughter for school, I didn't think about her brother who just lost his best playmate for most of the day. Poor kid is still crying to go to school. Next time I'll remember the little one.
